This is an easy to read/easy to use book covering the fundamentals of directing.
From script analysis and casting to directing actors it covers much of what any aspiring director needs to know.
It takes a 'this is what you need to do' attitude rather than 'this is how you do it' it allows directors to develop their own style.
It also includes an analysis of three major films (Notorious, The Truman Show and Felini's 8 1/2 along with brief comments on many others.
An ideal books for people wanting to direct.
