Having sent he 5 star reviews I decided to purchase this but it is a very weak and general book written more by a professional writer than an experienced film pro.
Furthermore it is very Amercian in its style and suffers from generalities.
If detail and superb info and case studies are required go for the Guerilla Makers Handbook-a far superior book for anyone interested in all aspects of film making.

I bought this book because of the previous six 5 star recommendations. I've read more than 2 dozen books on film production and independent film, and I have to admit this is the best and most thorough. I don't readily give out 5 star reviews (this is my first of more than thirty reviews), but it just doesn't get any better than this book if you want the inside scoop on how to make a movie. It has my highest recommendation--ever.

This is the best book on how to make an independent film, sell an independent film, attend a film festival, etc. I've made 3 movies, and I learned something new on every page. Excellent.
