I purchased the Final Cut Studio Upgrade from Final Cut Pro 3 and wanted to get up to speed with Final Cut 5 as fast as possible without having to travel abroad for Final Cut training. This book was one of the books I bought. I learned a lot from this book. Larry starts by telling how important it is to save your products before you start capturing and why. Reading this I suddently realised how a lot of my problems with finding my files occured. The great thing about the book is the Combination af a well written books with toturial files combined with Quicktime Videos where Larry shows some of the things your are working with in the book. That way you get the information in writing the tutorial files to practice on and videos showing what he's writing about. I can really recommend this book as it has improved my understandig of FCP and my editing skills quit a lot.
