People speak English almost everywhere you go, so you often end up just ignoring your phrase book and letting them do the work. But this book is so easy to use that it made me really want to have a go. The Finns are extrememly friendly anyway, which helps, but being able to find what I wanted to say, fast, was the secret. And when I wasn't using it, I was just reading the little snippets of info about the country and the culture, which really helped me feel I understood the people better by the end of my time there. Now I'm going to get ones for other languages.
