Reader Reviews:Little more than a cuttings job (0/0 people found this helpful)Derek Draper became 'almost famous' for his exploitation of his Labour links, but this book shows few signs of insight or inside information and mainly seems to be an extended trawl through the cuttings file. These days it is evocative of Labour's 'masters of the Universe' phase, but there is little else to recommend it. Become a fly on the wall of New Labour (0/0 people found this helpful)This book is exceptional. It takes the reader inside the New Labour mindset and into the very heart of the first Labour Government for 18 years. Part novel, part journalism and part history book, this will tell you more about New Labour than a hundred years of Newsnight. If you are fascinated by politics and what makes the big names tick, this book is for you. You will not put it down. An easygoing momento of Blair's big win (0/0 people found this helpful)This si an easy going lightly written journey through the highs and lows of Blair's first hundred days. Whilst a little thin in parts this book will please anyone pleased by Blair's victory. CategoriesAmazon.co.uk places this book into the following categories:
