Reader Reviews:Delight your grandchild (1/1 people found this helpful)My grandson aged 6 is very enthusiastic about flanimals in all guises and enjoys the lively text as well as pictures. I am impressed how well he manages big nonsense words and follows the cod zoology. If this was his stand up routine Gervais 'ud get egged! Geroff ,Boo (0/1 people found this helpful)Hmm, no wonder there are no, "search inside" options with this book. The illustrations are amazing, wonderfully colourful and imaginative, unlike the ramblings of Ricky Gervais. Too many tounge twisting words for the average struggling ten year old to pronounce let alone understand. There are no numbered pages within the book, so I can't tell you at which point it actually becomes worth reading, but I shall try. *checks pages*...... oooo six pages from the end (not including the sticker page). All this book did for me and my children, once I had read it, was to leave us puddled, staring blankly into each others eyes, with a vacant expresion!(that turned out to be our talking point by the way). I mean how do you discuss such tosh as, "The primative cartlobrenders are unskulled wronglers, but don't be fooled by this. They can still lunk with slavage revocity and can outlang a Brone in the dark". TOTAL POINTLESS NONSENSICAL DRIVEL
Flanimals of the Deep (3/3 people found this helpful)I got this for my 8th birthday. I like it as much as Flanimals Day of the Bletchling. The creatures are cool and I love looking at them. Ricky Gervais keeps saying they're real. I don't believe him! Flanimals of the Deep another great flanimals (0/1 people found this helpful)The quality just doesn't seem to be dropping with the flanimals books. If anything this is better than many of the earlier books.
Brilliant Book (0/0 people found this helpful)All boys love monsters and weird things and the Flannimals books are what got my son into reading! This seems to really appeal to boys and provides discussion topics and inspires them to create their own flannimals.
