Reader Reviews:An aesthetic first Italian course. (11/11 people found this helpful)This is the course book that was used in a four week intensive Italian evening class that I attended, and I don't have any complaints about it. All the usual things in a modern language coursebook are here, but in this case, the text is aesthetically presented and is more or less faultless in the ratio of exercises of different types and of grammar and glossaries. I still enjoy to work through this textbook again at high speed just for the fun of it, despite having moved on from the level of most of the material therein. Ideal companion to evening class Italian (27/27 people found this helpful)My tutor recommended this as our course book and it appealed immediately. From the minimalist cover to the stylish, reader-friendly sections and illustrations in the book, this was the book to send me back to nightly homework with pleasure. You can learn so much about life in Italy, alongside learning Italian grammar; and it's bang up to date too, the Lira replaced by the Euro!
