Very useful dictionary which is divided into topics - food, shopping, home medical etc. Handy to be able to see what you need when you are at the pharmacy, for instance.
Fun for children and adults alike, it's very easy to dip into, and would be a useful addition for any trip to France. A serious language student would still require a full dictionary, but this is a most accessible addition.

This French to English visual dictionary is excellent value for money,it has everthing you can see but do not know the name for it in French, if you ever get stuck for words to explain what you want then this is the book that has it all.

This is an excellent pictorial dictionary- French/English. It has hundreds of photographs of relevant and useful items showing the words in both languages. It is suitable for any age group and ability. It is small enough to carry in a bag or briefcase. The pictures are grouped in a sensible fashion under topics. I cannot praise it enough.

We were leaving for France that night.With this in his pocket my partner had the confidence to get straight into French speaking on the ferry across.We both knew that we could not get stuck because the picture idea is brilliant.On holiday we had several sessions of just scouting through the book to see what the words were. He was amazed at how un-frightening the language was and after 3 days said he was glad that the book had helped and he now wanted to study it further.The "can do" factor is a key to feeling comfy with the language. Totally great for youngsters. Keeps interest there as varied selection of subjects.Phrases good also.Quick essential learning.Thank you lots for writing this guide.Definate good value for money Christine Arthur, well done.
