Reader Reviews:Interesting and provocative (1/2 people found this helpful)There was one part of this book that really shocked me. It supports the notions that some not very nice people were peddling at this time. My only suggestion is to buy the book, it is in places fascinating. Aimed at those 'who were there at the time' (3/8 people found this helpful)A very interesting account of Joe Haines's time as Harold Wilsons press secretary. One drawback would be that it sometimes fails to put historical events into context, and for anyone under the age of 30 who didn't live through that time it may be a bit confusing.
