Reader Reviews:Good but may put you off going (45/49 people found this helpful)Much of the infomation is recycled from the mother book Lonely Planet India. Some facts are infact wrong, one such example is the location of Anjuna motorbike repairs. It is strange in its omisions such as the Orange Boom Cafe in Anjuna has been there for many years but is still missed out of the book. The health section will scare you to death, and it is best to remind yourself that you will have little chance of catching most things. The stories of police raids, rapes and other horrors are best glossed over if you want to stay sane. The book is very good for two week holidays for whistle-stop-tours but a little less usefull for long to very long term stays. In the case of the latter more information would be required, such as the Lonely Planet Asia & India Health book. However it is a book well worth taking along and gives a good overview of what to expect, what to go and see, and where to stay and eat.
