Goodnight Lady (0/0 people found this helpful)

This was another masterpiece by Martina. I have not always read her books in order, but I came across this one the other day, the only one left that I had not read........ All of her books are gripping from the first page to the last. Goodnight Lady was a wonderful story set in the 1900's. Martina has a fantastic imagination and obviously does a great deal of research.
I would recommend Martina Cole's books to everybody, young, old, male or female. Keep up the good work Martina!!

Martina Cole Does It Again (0/0 people found this helpful)

The first Martina Cole book I read I thought was brilliant and could not be equalled yet alone beaten. But how wrong I was, I could not put this book down. The characters just came to life and I seriously did not want this book to end. Lots of twists and beautifully written, long may Martine Cole reign!!!! This book is denifinetly one of my all time favourites. To find a book as good as this will be a difficult task.

I know I shouldn't enjoy Martina Cole so much - it is hardly highbrow literature, but her novels really are great escapism. I particularly liked this one - her characters are always compelling and sympathetic. I think I have read most of her novels now......oh well :-)

Absolutely brilliant.... (0/3 people found this helpful)

What a book! I couldn't put it down from the moment that I started it. The way Cole describes her characters from the start draws you in. Briony, the main character, isdescribed in such a way that you feel for her through all her obsticles in life. My favourite character was Tommy, what a man, the wedding surprise made me cry!

The book is gripping throughout and I would recommend it to anyone. It includes everything a good book should: love, heartache, humour and a great ending. Cole's book keep me reading everytime and I applaud her for her contraversial topics.

I really enjoyed this book, it was easy to get into the story, and i couldnt put the book down. From reading the first page i couldnt stop reading until finished. It is so well written, and moved through Briony Cavanaghs dark and spine chilling life with such details that you are thinking about her, even when not reading. Excellent!!!!
