Gordon Ramsay Makes It Easy

This was my first Ramsay cookbook and after using the recipes in here for a highly successful dinner party for friends, I am now a devoted Gordon Ramsay follower. His recipes are detailed, his advice authoritative and the presentation and layout is spot on. Contrary to one of the previous reviews, there are plenty of pictures in this book and if a hopeless cook like myself can create these recipes to perfection (whilst also managing to satisfy and impress an extremely fussy Italian friend), there's hope for EVERYONE! This book comes highly recommended! Enjoy!

An excellent book, I have tried over half, and all come out perfect, the duck for two is sent from heaven, and if you follow Gordon to the letter, the duck is pink and perfect, our dinner parties have a new edge, thank you Gordon for another great book.

'Ready cooked lobsters are never as good as those you cook yourself, so I recommend that you get to grips with handling a live lobster! Their claws will be wrapped in thick bands so they won't nip you!'

While not all recipes are really usable (as in all cookbooks), there are some quite nice ideas and some good tricks and tips, making this book quite interesting. The DVD was a bit short though (a real pity !) and the lack of subtitles (combined with Mr. Ramsay's fast tempo and heavy accent) makes it challenging to understand for the non-british. Nevertheless I'm quite happy to have bought it and after posting this review I'm going to buy some more of Gordon Ramsay's books (the DVD offer does not seem, alas, to be about recipes but about football...)
