Reader Reviews:Soundbites of the great and the good (9/10 people found this helpful)From Gladstone to Blair this cassette demostrates the power that oratory can have. Although familiar with most of the soundbites (one of the problems of the cassette is that you want to hear the rest of certain speeches) it was nevertheless enjoyable to hear Churchill in the Canadian parliament, Thatcher's u-turn if you want to, Kinnocks grotesque chaos and Powell's chilling prophecy. Also, interesting how much Labour leaders have had to in the words of Gaitskill "fight, fight and fight again", whereas Conservative leaders until more recent times generally got a more receptive audience.
