Seeking adventure? (0/0 people found this helpful)

If you're looking for adventure then get this book! We're all looking for the next best thing and you'll be way ahead of the pack just trying out any one of the sports in this book. Each section's really user-friendly as it tells you all about the sport and then provides loads of useful contact details of places to go and try it out. I went to try out waterskiing after being truly inspired by the section and loved it - I grinned all the time and ended up with face ache even though it took me loads of goes to get up on the skis. But when I was up there, it was just magic!

I definitely want to try coasteering next - looks like great fun. And there's all the air and land sports to try too. As I still have to work for a living, the only problem is there's so many sports and so little time...;-)

Some much to do, so little time (0/0 people found this helpful)

This book is invaluable. I'm an adventure sports fanatic in my head, but often don't get past thinking about it because I don't know where to start, what it involves, what equipment I need etc. Since buying this book I have tried zorbing, rock climbing and am still trying to pluck up the courage for a bungee jump.

It's a really good guide for sorting out the basics and getting reassurance about something you're going to try for the first time.

And it's a must-buy for adventure-prone brothers, husbands and boyfriends.

Couch potato - moi? (0/0 people found this helpful)

Phew, I'm exhausted just reading about it ...

This book gives me such a buzz. As a committed couch potato suffering from delusions of being James Bond, by just reading this guide I found myself being transported into my very own, testosterone fuelled, adventure world.

i always thought that my fantasy world was hard to beat, but now can see myself becoming addicted to the smell of damp wet suit and the taste of cold water.

Saying that, the range of mortality challenging "sports" is almost scary - do people really jump off cliffs - for fun? But that's just it, the range, so perhaps its time to ease myself into this new world with a gentle flight in a hot air balloon.

Great and easy read (0/0 people found this helpful)

I bought this book after a friend recommended it. It's really easy to read and had all the information I was looking for about kite surfing.
I really like the ratings and it's written in a very accessible and often amusing way. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for something fun and new to do at the weekend and are thinking of having a go at adventure sports. This book was money well spent!
