This is an unusually good travel book that combines the pretty pictures with a great deal of useful information. In addition to the typical travel book sorts of informaton, Bradt also does an exceptionally good job of pointing out the difficulties associated with travel in Madagascar. After recently travelling to Madagascar, the accuracy of her information was clear. My one major criticism concerns the information on travel agents specializing in the area. I wasn't happy with mine.
