Reader Reviews:Worth A read (1/1 people found this helpful)Apart from the fact that this book is before the time of today's computers , this book was gripping and tense for me as a reader at times. Never put it down for a split second. Recommended for teenagers. Great book for reluctant reader (0/1 people found this helpful)I couldn't believe it when not only my "Book Worm" 10 year old read this book in a few hours and handed it on to me to read. Before I'd managed to get into it my other daughter who hates reading had picked it up and was engrossed. The plot moves along quickly and both my girls found it really refreshing to have the main character not only female, but also living in a moxed race family, like themselves. I loved the book, I couldn't wait to find out who'd framed Dad, and my original suspicions were only half correct and there was a bit of a twist at the end.
A Story of a familys fight to proov their dad's innocence (2/3 people found this helpful)Hacker - A great book for the computer sort of person. With twists and turns and a devious plot.
Great book for computer generation! (4/5 people found this helpful)Hacker - A great book for the computer sort of person. With twists and turns and a devious plot.
Good... then excellent (9/16 people found this helpful)Hacker is a book by Malorie Blackman, Hacker is the first one of her books I've read but now I want to read more. At first I wasn't sure if i should read hacker as im not good at IT to say the least. I was sort of hoping, though doubting, there would be no IT stuff in it. It turns out there is, it's not really too much of a problem I found as I actually began to understand some of it. If I was Malorie I would include less IT but this was the only dissapointment in the book. The book starts at a typical school, here , Vicky, seems unwanted and bullied then a little confusion gets her into a lot of trouble, then more bad things happen and Vicky, despite her own troubles, has to sort every one else's troubles. Many things you can relate to, for example, the first line really got me into the book "Maths Exams... Ughh!" Also being annoyed constantly by a big brother showing off to his friends.
