This story, along with most of the other Lynley Dodd books is excellent to read to 2-6 year olds. It is funny and children enjoy the rhymes and noises.Its a great way to help your children to grow to love books.

As a parent I love seeing the great joy my 6 year old gets from reading this book. Her love of dogs knows no bounds and this book allows her to see a whole range of different dogs. As an educator I love the range of descriptive words and realise what merit the book has when I hear my 3 year old use the word 'cacophony'.

The whole family loves this book. It is especially enjoyable if you really ham up the caterwauling and barking noises it certainly makes for a lively bedtime read! From an excellent series by Lynley Dodd - I hope my children don't outgrow them before we've managed to collect them all.
