Reader Reviews:An good all round introduction (3/3 people found this helpful)Another superb book in the Osprey series that gives the reader a good grounding on the events leading up to, during, and after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. This small book contains some useful diagrams, photos and reconstruction pictures following the events and various stages of this quite remarkable battle. 1066 changed the course of English history and few are aware of what a close run deal it was. Chris Gravett tells the story with authority and accuracy in a book which will guide the reader through the events of what was arguably the most important day in English history.
