Reader Reviews:Perfection in motion (3/3 people found this helpful)I have read alot of books on special forces from Andy McNabb to Duncan Falconer, Geddes impressed me the most due to the fact that he didn't even talk about his time in the SAS like most operators do, but about his work as a private military contractor, he did tend to go off the subject a bit some times but I guess he was trying to give his story some historical context. I also enjoyed how he had other fellow PMCs tell their stories such as the 'Baghdad babes' to 'tak'. Furthermore I was rolling around laughing my lungs out at some of his expressions.
charlie company (0/2 people found this helpful)This is the best book I have read in the last few years. John Geddes is the the dogs nuts. I could not put this book down till it was finished. Well done Mr Geddes you have a great writting style and a bloody great, action packed life. 5 stars. Amazing (3/4 people found this helpful)Excellent book, full of suspance! I wanted to get more info about the world of PMC and this book took the curtains away. Very well written, I couldn't stop reading.
DONT DISMISS THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!! (3/11 people found this helpful)What an increadible read. Wow!. I am training for the paras and whilst bending my eyes over countless books, HIGHWAY TO HELL blazed out like a sore thumb. It had a review from an ex SAS man, Mike Curtis (who wrote C.Q.B -Also a phenominal read) and it explains how he fought along side Geddes in the Falklands then Selection together, and later on into Private Security work. So i eagerly baught and read the whole thing in one day. It had grabbed my by the lapels of my shirt and would not let me put it down.
