Reader Reviews:Absolutely brilliant! (0/0 people found this helpful)I bought this book for my daughter and she absolutely loves it! She now believes that there are elves hidden in the walls gathering information for Christmas!
Fun funky drawings that spark a festive imagination (3/3 people found this helpful)This is a humorous `information' book which takes you through the logistics of Xmas and it's a smashing book to bring out at Christmas time. It's packed with bright funny drawings and diagrams showing where Santa lives, the factory, elf training, how letters to Santa are processed, how toys are made, stored and distributed etc. There's plenty to look at and you'll notice new things every time you look - I particularly like the elf recruitment fair which includes a stall for Department of Reindeer Welfare and the Christmas Intelligence Agency (CIA) who spy on children to see how good they've been. My daughter (6) pored over this book for many happy hours last Christmas and was delighted to see it reemerge as we unpacked our Christmas stuff this year. We're both looking forward to reading it over and over again for many years to come. Honestly - one look inside and you'll be hooked - it's absolutely brilliant.
So how does santa work? (1/2 people found this helpful)This book is wasted on children. Children will get a lot of enjoyment out of it as there is so much to learn about santa and his elves, and there is so much to look at. That's what makes it such a gem. I'd be suprised if no one has a smile from start to finish with this book, as the detail is brilliant. You'll find something new everytime you look through it and will notice new comments from the elves, and occasionally there may be an elf that you're sure wasn't there before....
