Reader Reviews:Summer camp torture! (9/9 people found this helpful)Stella's mum and step-dad have gone off on holiday and have dumped Stella at the Evergreen Holiday Camp. She's not happy! Things get worse. Stella loses all her hair (by accident), has to share a dorm with Karen and Louise, and is forced into horrifying swimming lessons with Uncle Pong! It looks as if she's in for a nightmare summer - how can Stella possibly survive? She's determined not to enjoy herself and settles down for a nightmare summer, but in the end she finds herself making friends, getting into scrapes, and having much more of a good time than she ever could have imagined! I think that 9 - 13 year olds would like this book. Disappointment (0/0 people found this helpful)I've read a lot of Jacqueline Wilson's books, so I can say that this one really disappointed me. Only a few really funny and creative bits. Great, great, great (2/2 people found this helpful)This book was the best book I have ever read. You should read this book because it is very funny. The main character gets laughed at a lot by her friends because she looks strange with her odd hair. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy funny stories and people who can read well. The 3rd best Jacqueline Wilson book (2/2 people found this helpful)I am very similar to Stella the main character because I'm a girl with short hair and there are lots of expensive things in this book including Swiss pens and Stella's favourite book called 50 Favourite Fairy Tales. It's very funny when she makes up 5 topsy turvy tales for a magazine called Star and colours in a pig and pretends it's the brigadiers daughter Miss Hamer Cotton. how to survive summer camp (4/5 people found this helpful)how to survive summer camp is a very good book and yet again jacqueline wilson has wrote a very interessting story . the book is about a girl called stella and she is dumped at evergreen a summer camp while her mum and uncle bill have gone on a swanky honeymoon. stella is forced to do swimming lesson even though she cant swim, and that is not all of her problems she has to share a dormitory with the snobby karen and her best friend louise. so how is she going to survive???
