A Major New Study of a Forgotten Campaign (7/7 people found this helpful)

With this , his latest work Brian Cull steps up from the first rank of Air War Authors to the first rank of Mainstream War Authors.
In his previous work Mr.Cull has shown himself a master of the
chronological Air campaign history , specifically for the Air
War Enthusiast. In "Hurricanes Over Singapore" he has written
a more rounded work which will be of interest to the general reader as well.
The first part of the book is concerned with the air battles over Singapopre and the East Indies and is covered with the authors usual consumate skill . In the second part of the book however we follow the adventures and fates of the participents as they struggle to escape from the disasters of the fall of
Singapore and the East Indies. For some, escape to fight on ,but for many imprisonment, and for too many death, in captivity.
Incorporating many first hand accounts this book is a Must Read for any one - not only air war buffs - but any one interested in
the sacrifices made by our forces in the fight against a savage and brutal enemy.
This book is a fitting tribute to another gallant "Few" who fought for freedom
