Reader Reviews:A wonderful tour of a fascinating country (1/1 people found this helpful)I have just finished reading India: The Peacock's Call by Aline Dobbie. I enjoyed it so much and it only took me a couple of days to read. I have spent days afterwards dreaming about getting off my backside and touring aroung Northern India. It is a delightful book, very worthwhile and full of historic substance. Very informative for someone thinking of taking a trip to Northern India. It also gave me a good insight to places you might not think to visit and also leaves one with a very reassuring and friendly view of the Indian people themselves. All in all it was a lovely book to read, I take my hat off to Aline Dobbie. She did Northern India and its people proud and her true love of the country shone through. I do hope she decides to travel again to India or anywhere else for that matter!, I will be the first to snap up her book about her travels. She really did make me feel that I was on the journey with her and her husband Graham.
