I was expecting to read an objective, unbiased account of the Middle East conflict for those not fully knowledgeable of the complexities of the crisis. Instead of which, I read a biased, one-sided, slanted version of events which, whilst perhaps being mostly "accurate", did not paint the whole picture. For those who only have a basic understanding of the Middle East conflict, this is certainly not the best book to read. Practically every single answer is critical of Israel and even when Palestinian behaviour is condemned, this is qualified in some way.
Yes, the layout is helpful with some useful questions bound to capture the reader's attention, but it is disappointing that the answers are not neutral and objective. It needs someone with no allegiance to one side or the other to provide a more balanced summary of events in the Middle East, from which opinions can be based.

After many years seeing and reading about the Israel-Palestine conflict in the media and not quite understanding what it was about I decided to do some research. This book is perfect for that goal. It has a short question-answer format which clarifies the main points around this issue. It looks at the historical context, reasons behind the dispute, possible solutions and failed peace plans, other major countries involved in the dispute and future plans to resolve the conflict. It is very clearly written and leaves you with a greater understanding of this complex and on-going dispute. I'd highly recommend this for those who wish to know more about Israel-Palestine and middle east conflict.
