Lovely. (1/1 people found this helpful)

I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed it so much I read it twice, and truth be told, I would read it again.

It's been a while since I read it, but I can remember the story as if I had read it yesterday.

A lovely, laugh out loud book.

Brilliant! (1/1 people found this helpful)

Have read this book twice now and it's just fantastic.
I was hooked from the start and there is a fantastic twist at the end.
If you have not read it, read it now!

A refreshing break from the norm (0/0 people found this helpful)

I orginally read this book when it was first published and have read it many times since. It is refreshing to see that the main character has her flaws and how her relationship with Ben grows as a friendship. On the first time I read the book I would be frustrated every time Ben and Jemima missed each other and how the story works out well in the end. Certainly a feel good book, perfect for a lazy holiday read.

Fantastic (1/1 people found this helpful)

I think people have misinterpreted the point that Jane Green was trying to get accross. I first read this book when i was an over weight 15 year old who didnt feel loved. I fell in love with it and have read everything Jane has written since. She is not trying to say that you have to be thin to get a long in life, she is actually trying to make you see that although sometimes it may feel that way, ultimatley you should never change who you are, inside or out,, for anyone other than yourself. Maybe these people missed the part in the book where Jemima is totally destroyed by that man once she is thin?
