James Patterson is one of my favourite crime writers.

He uses short, meaningful sentences, to put his point across. He uses short chapters, making you think 'just one more chapter' and before you know it the books finished.

This book is no exception.

Judge and Jury is a book which allows us to see behind the scenes of a courtcase, but with an added twist. The courtcase is dangerous, and full of meaning.

In many of James Pattersons books we hear about the Jury, but never really get to learn about who they are. In this book we follow one particular character through the pain which being in this particular Jury brings to her. But in the end it brings something good as well.

James Patterson allows us to follow a member of the Jury of a tough courtcase.

If your a James Patterson fan like me, or just after a good easy crime book to read, with a few hidden twists. This books your answer.

Not bad at all! (0/0 people found this helpful)

This is the first James Patterson book that I've read and I'm a good deal impressed. I particularly like the fact that the chapters are very short which means I found it extremely easy to read.

The story itself was good, the central bad character did indeed come across as a nasty piece of work who deserved to be taught a very harsh lesson. That said, I did find some parts somewhat contradictory, the concepts of justice and revenge seemed to get blurred in one or two areas of the story but overall this did not spoil my enjoyment of reading this book.

In my opinion, this was a very entertaining read and based on this fact, I will read other titles by this author in the future.

Disposable thriller (0/0 people found this helpful)

Another collaboration, but a better one than most of the recent Patterson collaborations. There's little to speak of in terms of plot, and the characters are as usual quite roughly sketched, but the novel entertains. My main issues with the book are a certain implausibility at times and a certain amount of moral hypocrisy throughout, but particularly in the later part of the novel.

Still, it's a competent enough light thriller, and a very quick read.

A Really Good Read! (1/1 people found this helpful)

Judge And Jury is the first James Patterson novel i have read and i was very impressed. I like his writing style (short chapters) and the story is fast paced which makes it more fun to read. If you are a fan of the thriller then i would more than reccomend this book and also look into other Patterson novels. A very talented writer.

I absolutely loved this, and think most of his fans will if you accept it for what it is - a good holiday read. It is definately not in the same league as Kiss the Girls, you definately don't have to work at it. It is, however, a romping good story that you just don't want to put down.
