Reader Reviews:erudite, bookish, scholarly and SCRUMPTIOUS (3/3 people found this helpful)A delightful cauldron of literary mouth-waterers and the recipes are good too. I didn't know wether to read it or eat it!! More please!! fabulous book (3/3 people found this helpful)I love this book. It's a totally original idea, very funny and clever, and you don't need to have read the original authors to get the joke and the play on the style. Some of the recipes read more like short stories, but all work perfectly as recipes. The illustrations are wonderful, too, and the whole book is beautiful little object. DELICIOUS (4/4 people found this helpful)an excellent well thought book with some delicious recipes the Irvine Welsh's chocolate cake and Chaucers onion tart are delicious KAFKA'S SOUP (2/2 people found this helpful)Brilliant, original, quirky - Crick is a terrific ventriloquist - and it's a beautiful little book.
