I was really looking forward to discover what that new icelandic text book would be all about...well, It simply just look like a big thick grammar book, with tons of sentences, verbs, nouns declensions, all this mixed in a poorly structured grammar book. The Author wanted to make his book looks like the old Einarson's , but this book did not even reached that level. It's okay as a reference book, but good luck if you re trying to learn something out of it. There is no exercises to practice what you've just been learning, and you can get very easily lost.
I tried it on my sister who wanted to get a basic knowledge of Icelandic, she went through the first 20 pages and gave up. Save your money..there are much better and cheaper icelandic textbook available than this one... sorry
