Reader Reviews:50 years in Rwanda: the life of an extraordinary lady. (2/2 people found this helpful)Fascinating recollection of the life of an extraordinary American lady, who arrived in the eastern belgian Congo and in Rwanda at a time where life there was paradise for foreigners, settled as a plantation manager, remained throughout the tumultuous fifty years that followed, even during the worst periods when everybody else fled the country, and made it her home. Over 80, she has now turned her house into a very welcoming orphanage for the children of the war.
