Reader Reviews:My Las Vegas bible! (0/0 people found this helpful)I don't normally leave reviews, but this book has made write something as soon as I got home - just FANTASTIC. The descriptions were accurate although I checked online, a few shows times were only half an hour adrift(no problem). It was handbag size. The tours recommended were quite frankly the best. We travelled 2 adults and a child age 8 and there was so much to do for 10 days - just perfect and this book was such a good guide - can't speak highly enough! Don't go to Vegas without it! (5/5 people found this helpful)We were first timers to vegas and I saw the reviews for this book before purchasing and decided to go for it. I also bought one other book - Las Vegas Insight City Guide, unfortunately this is nowhere near as comprehensive as the AA spiral guide.
First time visitors bible (6/6 people found this helpful)This book is an excellent overall view of the 'oh so busy' Las Vegas. It gives you ideas of how much you can realistically do in a day. A good non-biased guide to a wonderful, but hectic, city. The maps are excellent and the sections of the book divided into areas of the strip are very helpful. The spiral binding is a brilliant idea, making it really easy to read. I highly recommend it. Perfect for reading on the plane. Couldn't have done Vegas without it!! (9/9 people found this helpful)We bought this book before even booking our trip and it was probably reading this that made up our minds to go! There is so much to do and see in Vegas and the Spiral guide split it up into do-able chunks. It highlighted all the best bits and gave helpful tips on what else to include if you could pack anything else in. We followed the daily plans as closely as possible and managed to see almost everything it listed. I would definitely buy a Spiral guide for my next trip. Very useful guide to Las Vegas (7/7 people found this helpful)This being our first trip to Vegas, we needed a travel guide which was going to summarise the best attractions and help us plan out our short time there. This guide was incredibly helpful - it is usefully colour coded to represent the various areas of The Strip and recommends the key attractions in each area. The dining information was useful, and we took up a few of the tips on restaurants and bars to visit. The best thing about this book was its small size (easily fitted into my handbag) and its focus on the main areas (much better than Lonely Planet as this has lots of pictures and is easier to read!).
