Reader Reviews:Good as an introduction to Latin (3/3 people found this helpful)This book provides a gentle introduction to Latin introducing features of the language in an easy to understand manner. In so doing it avoids the hurdles which are often so discouraging in the more formal approach. Exercises are provided throughout the book - unfortunately answers are not and this is my main criticism of the book. I could find no mention of this fact in the introduction and no source from which they could be obtained. Whilst this might be in order if the book is to be used in the classroom with a teacher to provide the answers, for someone without that support its a major drawback.
