I have the 2004 fourth edition, bought new in Valetta. It seems to be the best available, and very good if (like me) your mind works grammatically: not hugely useful for set-piece conversations asking for beer in the pub. You get a good chunk of prose to work on. The vocabs for each lesson would be more use if they were arranged alphabetically.

Having searched high and low, I found this to be the best book available on Maltese. The book is well-structured and gives the student a good grasp of the language.
