This is a reasonably good language kit for making yourself understood in Romanian if you just want to be able to get by on holiday. The phrases are very useful. Although they're not impossible, some of them aren't quite as easy to recall as the title would have you believe. The only thing is you need to buy this set well in advance to give yourself time to learn them.

However, the set would be so much more user-friendly if the CDs were segmented topic-by-topic, rather than have several topics all in one 20-minute track and force the user to keep their finger pushed down on the fast-forward button to find where they left off last time. I also think the grammar section is excessive in its crash-course style, leaving you tied to the phrases in the book and not really knowing know how to form sentences.

All in all, this is a decent language kit for travel purposes which provides you with the essentials, but it's not a self-study course for "serious" learners of Romanian, who would wish to hold a proper conversation in the language and be able to use to the different structures of the language. It's fairly priced too.

The kit therefore gets a mixed review and three stars from me.
