Reader Reviews:no use at all for the person working on their own (6/6 people found this helpful)lay out is muddly and the sequence of topics is not helpful. Grammatical sections are perhaps useful to an experienced person revising, but to the person working on their own , or at night classes, are baffling and unclear to the point of being dangerous.I have persisted with this book , but since then I have found many others...to be more helpful. In many instances the person working alone hopes to find the answers at the back so as to check their work - only to find that they are not there!...Maybe as a class - based text book with a good teacher it's got merit - otherwise NO!!! a good foundation to start with (3/3 people found this helpful)this book is well laid out,and is a usfull introduction into speaking german.but this book is no good on its own,i use this with my night school class,we all do as it the main book we work from.so if you are starting a class based coarse its fine Not suitable for complete beginners (2/3 people found this helpful)Lack of grammar explanations.
