Reader Reviews:The bible for all singers of German Lieder. (9/9 people found this helpful)Lieder Line by Line provides a comprehensive collection of the poetry used in German Lieder with a literal translation of the text in english. It is a God send, because it provides the singer with a full understanding of the german text, as well as the correct grammatical cases - translated into the english language. I have several other books with translations of lieder, but they aren't literal translations, and in some cases, do not provide the singer with an accurate translation (including tenses). As a useful tool for a singer, it is to be very highly recommended...
