This book should be in everyone's collection. It is very well written and gives very informative snippets of information about every important lierary aspect of the amazing city of Edinburgh.
I bought this book before visiting Edinburgh, with this book under my arm my visit was so much more worth while. Without this book I would not have realised the huge diversity of literary connections in Edinburgh.
If you get the chance to visit Edinburgh and see the literary sights for yourself then I would definately recommend going on 'The Book Lovers' tour'. The author Allan Foster will take around the literary sights giving you a very knowledgable insight into everywhere he takes you. The experience is unforgettable. It is a must for all book lovers!!! There is no need to book for the tours just turn up outside the Writer's Museum (just off the High Street) at 10.30am or 1.30pm every Saturday and Sunday (every day through the Edinburgh festival).
