A good book that captures the importance of Lloyd George (1/2 people found this helpful)
Lloyd George was a character that helped shaped the course of British history, and whose actions we still feel today. He played a vital role in starting of the welfare state, the decline of the Liberal party, which led the way for the rise of Labour. Also he was the prime minister who was voted in by women. Constantine captures the essence of Lloyd George in this relatively short but yet very detailed book. The language is lively, yet formal, this leads to a very good read. I recommend this book to all who want to know about a great figure of modern British history.
