Reader Reviews:

5/5 stars

An enthralling book on a little known theatre (2/2 people found this helpful)

For the first time I have found a realistic and clear explanation why the JAAF was so utterly devastated in the New Guinea theatre. Not only were their aircraft inadequately equipped but the commanders remained oblivious to change even after the initial saturation raids by Kenneys Air Force. It didnt help that the reports and claims sent to Japan were grossly exaggerated. With no planning of airfield defence or dispersion revetments the units were unable to stop massive losses. The author is a thorough researcher and this is a credit to his writing career.
