This book is quite simply the greatest flash book ever written,brilliantly explained, with as far as I can tell little or no errata, you may have to go over it twice if you have never used flash or even had some minor experience. But if you want to be ahead of the game and move up the flash ladder with any real conviction, then buy this book now.

First class intermediate training for Flash 8. The book however is a different thing. I have used a number of self teach books for Flash, but never quite grasped the 'building a web site as a modular thing' concepts. Shane Rebenschied has written a great book here. It is clear, written in a very friendly tone, and easy to follow. It comes from the lynda.com stable and so it has a good pedigree. The included CD contains the final versions of the files as well as the starter ones. In addition there are some Quicktime movies that take the concepts covered a little further.
It is not for the complete beginner - you need to know your way around Flash a bit before you start - and so was ideal for me.
I couldn't find many errors (believe me I am used to errors from self teach books). Those that I did find were simple typos that didn't affect the function of the projects being built.
