Mama's Boy: Lennox Lewis and the heavyweight Crown. (1/1 people found this helpful)

This is a must for any boxing fan . To see how far that this professional has gone to get what he did.
Read it I know you will love it.

Great Read!!! (1/2 people found this helpful)

I really liked this book. I felt it was not biased considering how biased it COULD HAVE been when the book is on Lennox. It answers MANY questions about Bowe, him visiting Tysons camp when he was younger etc I think it was a great read. I am a Lewis fan admittingly but i have seen MUCH worse books that make an excuse for EVERY bad thing that happened in a boxers career. Its not the best boxing book but its a great read. its very informative as well. its not a weak book, it has substance. its very honest also, they dont try to pull the wool over your eyes. lennox tells you the kind of guy he is. hes not a rapists and he tries to be a gentlemen. his roots however seemed plagued with streetfights and it was through a streetfight he got into boxing. theres a little twist so ill let you read to find out. to find out who lennox really was get this. he was a quite guy and not like a brash and crude tyson. here youll find the truth and facts. i say great read!!!

Interesting (1/1 people found this helpful)

If your a fan of lennox you will love this book but if like me you are more of a boxing fan with no strong feelings for lewis you will find the book interesting. The reason for this being the other characters portrayed in the book-

tyson
holyfield(fans of his wont like his portrayal)
bruno
steward
don king
the maloneys
tua
mccall
rahman
bowe
klitchko
foreman
golota

the stories behind these names are are well worth the read but ultimately this a book about lennox which does its fair share of brown nosing so dont expect an unbias view. Also covered are his training camps, his alleged homosexuality and oh yeah his mum.
