Reader Reviews:Still a wonderful read! (0/0 people found this helpful)Dug this beauty out recently, and found myself chuckling like Margaret herself does when the term "Industrial North" is still used in conversation. Anyone who remembers the rather uncomfortable era in British history when it was decided to 'sort out' all those people who had the poor taste to live north of Watford will rather enjoy this unofficial biography on the lady that made it all possible. The authors aren't named in the book, but fans of John O'Farrells writing should be re-assured that some of the writing comes across as his - for sure. He re-used one of the jokes in the book recently in his Saturday Guardian column (sorry John gotcha!!). ;-) Anyhow, wonderful satire. Rather an old publication, but if you can get hold it of, do .... well worth it. CategoriesAmazon.co.uk places this book into the following categories:
