Reader Reviews:A Most Important Book (7/9 people found this helpful)The impact of Zionism on the Middle East and the Arabs is discussed, together with reasons for the unstinting support for the Zionist project by the West. The subsequent extended review of all the attempts at finding a peace for the region makes fascinating reading given the detail that Ghada Karmi brings to the story. The ultimate failure of the so-called 'Two State' solution advocated by the West is cogently argued, as is the realisation that the formation of a single Israeli/Palestinian state is the only possible route to the survival of these two peoples in this disputed territory.
