Reader Reviews:Great Escapist Adventure!! (0/1 people found this helpful)I read a great deal of adventure, and this book gallops along at a good pace, the twists and turns make sense and the clues leading to the true identity of the culprit all add up along the way. Not a long book, but will keep you easily transfixed on a short flight. Mr Cussler is a worthy successor to Alastair Maclean. Good Reading (3/5 people found this helpful)An early Dirk Pitt adventure but there is just as much action, & humour as you'd get from Cusslers later novels. It has it all from the chases, the sexy women & old reliable Al Giordano with a classic car for Dirks collection thrown in! Try it and you will end up a Cussler junkie looking for your next fix of Dirk! All action maritime 'can't put down' adventure (1/3 people found this helpful)Clive Cussler's imaginative and discriptive story telling succeeds in painting a vivid mental picture throughout in this excellent adventure set on a Mediterranean island. Cusslers' extensive knowledge of all things nautical and aeronautical together with the charisma and rugged charm of his hero Dirk Pitt combine to produce an exciting tale with many unexpected twists. If its raining where you are, lose yourself in this novel of sun, sea, action and mystery. Another Cussler classic... the only critisism is that it was over too soon. Yet another fast paced Dirk Pitt adventure (2/4 people found this helpful)Dirk Pitt in his youth, just as much action, suspence & humour as you'd expect from Mr.Cussler. It's all there, the chases, the women & Al Giordano! Similar ProductsCategoriesAmazon.co.uk places this book into the following categories:
