'A reader's' approving critique of this work might have carried rather more weight had it not been riddled with spelling failures and linguistic inaccuracy. I wonder how he (she?) accounts for this.
I have no time for the concepts of social class or intelligence quotients. In my native Scotland, we prefer to consider that we are what we make ourselves. I speak as a retired college lecturer and translator, with two degrees and published work, whose beginnings were in a bombed tenement block. Education, we believed, was everything, and we pursued it. This was the true solution, not some hare-brained social concept.

offering an alternative view to the troubles in todays lower to middle class society...the analysis of IQ versus achievement, propogation, and economic status was enlightening and true. From our perspective it seems that the troubles in todays society is due to a lowering of intelligence by virtue of the vast majority of low intellect people supported by the welfare system.....Ignorance breeds ingnorance....
