Reader Reviews:MEN OF MEN (12/12 people found this helpful)In this the second of the four books Wilbur Smith has written about the Ballantyne family, he continues as in the first with excitement, hardship and struggles. The struggles and dissapointments of life and each other come across loud and clear. There is a brillant plot and you see how people can change. The plot runs smoothly and at different stages of the book, new or old charcters are brought into play. This is a brillant book well written and I recomend it to you. If you read the first book A Falcon Flies first it will make this read more enjoyable. this is the best book i ever read!!!! (7/38 people found this helpful)This book is all about scary things and it have all that characters that seem real its a story about a family that always fight and one day one of them ran away after about fifteen years, some One of the best books I have ever read (21/21 people found this helpful)Although this is actually part of a trilogy, Men of Men is the single most gripping, enjoyable and moving book I have ever read. I have now read it several times and always enjoy it as much as the first time. Wilbur Smiths' obvious knowledge of and love for his country and its people shine throughout the book, and it always leaves me yearning to go to Africa. One of his greatest skills is in writing about fictional characters whilst setting them amongst historically accurate events - if only history had been like this at school! The other parts of the trilogy - A Falcon Flies and The Angels Weep are also amongst his best. Read this book - you will fell better for it" Similar ProductsCategoriesAmazon.co.uk places this book into the following categories:
