Reader Reviews:An excellent book (11/17 people found this helpful)This is an updated version of a book that previously appeared in a 1999 edition. Well researched and documented, it is an excellent addition to the history of South-East Asia and to the history of the people involved - a period remembered more in the history books of S-E Asia than in our increasingly crass British society.
