This story is a really good story. It's where Mr.Willowby gets a tree for a surprise. I really like this story because it's a Christmas story and because it really is cheerful. I recommend it for all ages because it is a really good book.

I am 38 years old and I will never forget reading this (or having it read to me). Every year I tell and retell the story to little friends or their parents. It is such a sweet tale and even teaches a lesson as it proceeds. ENJOY IT!

My grandmother read this book to me as a kid. My sister and I loved it, it didn't matter whether or not it was Christmas time. It's a great book, fun for kids and adults alike.

The top portion of a Christmas tree is lopped off and discarded, only to be found by another character in the book and used in their home. As this process continues the book can be used not only as a delightful Christmas story, but as a math lesson as well. Children love the rhyme and cadence of the story.

A favorite of mine from when I was a child I can now enjoy it with my son. It was refreshing to see this book still in print! I love the fact that it connects everyone in the story to each other and their enviroments. It makes one realize the potential of even seemingly useless things. Don't waste the opportunity to share this story with your family.
