This can only come from someone who has perpectives of both East and West. His central argument is that to succeed in the Chinese market you need to understand chinese culture and the 'rules' of engagement. Failure to understand them can result in expensive commercial failures. The book uses the 'myth' or misconception approach and then counters it with the 'realities' of the Chinese market. It explores key cultural concepts like 'face,'harmony,' 'guanxi,' (relationships), etc .
