Reader Reviews:Excellent for the story telling speaker to engage others (5/5 people found this helpful)This medium-sized tome is worthwhile having on your bookshelf next to your Bible Concordance and Commentary but also fared well our house's 'public reading room' (the loo.) It's very dip-into-able: covering a wide number of Christian headings from Boredom to God's Changelessness to Worship, it gives two or three pages under each subject which are packed with quotations, stories, poems, Bible references and illustrations. Whether for personal browsing or adding colour to a talk, its got a lot of interesting and helpful material. Only one word of warning. It is American, therefore has aspects to it that might seem culturally irrevelant. Inevitably too, many of its stories are based in America. Overall a good resource to have, especially as there has been a move in the last five years to more inclusive speaking through the use of story-telling.
