Reader Reviews:Good book let down by American syntax... (2/2 people found this helpful)I got this book home to find an American Gee-whiz attitude in it... I must admit I was alarmed by the "cool!" and "wow!" that kept cropping up time and again in the text. I look for serious comments when trying to go for certification and found the comments tiresome and ended buying another book to help out;(Mastering NetWare 5.1). It does give you what you need to know though, so if you can stand the American bias, you'll be fine for the CNA. The ACME scheme was another bit of Americana that may not translate with all readers. I must ask though, when are US authors and publishers going to learn that not all of us find things "cool" and don't cry out "gee-whiz!" at impressive bits of software?! A good book, let down by the needless slang. CategoriesAmazon.co.uk places this book into the following categories:
